As you wander down Pfalzgasse, be sure to admire the romantic oriel-windowed houses of Augustinergasse, and don’t miss the charming Münzplatz overlooked by the beautiful Augustinerkirche, dating back to 1274.
But the Old Town isn’t just about ancient architecture. Take a stroll down the riverside quarter of Schipfe, where you’ll find quaint artisan shops and quiet cafés. And if you’re a fan of clock-watching, stop by St. Peter’s Church, with its famous 8.7-meter diameter clock face – the largest in Europe!
Crossing over to the other side of the Limmat, you’ll find the vibrant pedestrian zone of the Niederdorf, affectionately known as “Dörfli” by locals.
